Dental Assistant

Duties  and Responsibilities:

Dental  assistant help  dentists  provide dental  care . They often work in teams  with dental hygienist and laboratory technicians .they may work in health clinics dental school, nursing homes and the military but  usually they work for dentist in private practices. Dental assistant duties include.

·        Helping patient feel  comfortable during  treatment

·        Talking and  developing  dental  x ray

·        Talking medical histories for  patient.

·        Sterilizing and preparing dental instrument and equipment

·        Instructing patient

   To include brushing and  flossing

·        Performing office management tasks

Average Salary :$14,000  $25,000

Dental assistant must have a high school diploma or GED  certificate

They must receive additional  training at a community college, vocation school or dental school to learn their skills.  Length  of program varies between six month and one year. To become certified dental assistant must pass and examination from the Dental Assisting National board .
