                              Optometrist

Duties and Responsibilities:
Optometrists treat vision problems. They treat vision problems by diagnosing the problem and then prescribing corrective eyeglasses, contact lenses, or vision therapy. Unlike ophthalmologist they are not physicians and may not write medical prescriptions, treat diseases, or perform surgery.
Average Salary: $78,000
Education:
If some of you guys are interested in becoming an Optometrist you need to take (AP or IB) classes in math, science, and English. Optometry school is four years in length. Before taking optometry school you at least have to have two tears of college. After being awarded the degree of doctor of Optometry, optometrist must pass state exams before starting to practice.

               Optical Laboratory Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
Optical Laboratory Technician grinds and fit eyeglass lenses into frames according to prescription written by ophthalmologist. They put the lens grinding machine so the lenses are ground and polish. Then they fit the lens in the frame and then after that it’s if the patient likes them yes or no.
Salary: $15,000 - $20,000
Education:
Optical Laboratory Technician you need a high school diploma or a (GED) certificate to begin the (OLT) training. The training take up to six months or maybe a year and are provide by vocational schools and some community college.

Ophthalmic technician work at hospitals, clinics, or for ophthalmologist in private practice.  (OT) or technologist help ophthalmologists collect data to allow the correct diagnosis and treatment of the eye disease.
Average Salary: $14,000 - $25,000
Educational Requirements:
If you want be an Ophthalmic Technician you will need a high school or a GED and also you will need to take two years of college ophthalmic training programs.
